GREENSBORO — Granville C. Robinson joined his heavenly family on December 13, 2011.
A funeral service will be held on Friday December 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Guilford Baptist Church. Interment will follow at New Garden Cemetery.
Granville was born in Guilford County to Granville & Margaret Robinson in 1934. He attended Guilford School where he was on the basketball & football teams. He was president of FFA. Granville attended Guilford College on a basketball scholarship.
Granville retired from Sears Roebuck after 41 years of service and started his business Robinson's Lawncare.
He is survived by his wife Sherree Robinson; daughter Cathy Robinson Cooper; grandson Joshua Cooper of Tallahassee, FL; granddaughter Holly Cooper of NYC; aunt Elizabeth Nelson of Greensboro, many very special cousins, nieces, nephews and his spiritual family at Guilford Baptist Church.
Granville loved watching his garden grow and was well known for his athletic ability, his gift of conversation and many acts of kindness to others. He loved the Lord & witnessing to everyone he met.
The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
